Communities – Las Vegas

In Las Vegas, an expanding circle of participants have come together to consider the major influences of health in the community and opportunities for engaging all citizens in generating community-based solutions. Since May 2008, more than 50 organizations, agencies and neighborhoods have participated in the effort, including the Nevada Alliance to Eliminate Health Disparities, the Nevada Health Services Coalition representing the state’s 21 largest employers, state and local legislators, the Southern Nevada Health District, the Las Vegas Diabetes and Obesity Committee, Community Partners for Better Health, boards of education and schools, and religious organizations.
